Welcome to About Porcelain Veneers - Cosmetic Dental Imaging Section
Enhanced Image of a Smile - A photo of a patient's smile is enhanced to display the final results of cosmetic dentistry. It's done before treatment is begun, by a qualified artist, under the direction of the dentist.
Patients See an Enhanced Image of Their Own New Smile, Before Treatment Begins
The purpose is to help patients decide on the best new smile for just for them. It helps patients decide on a personalized treatment plan. It also creates consensus between the patient, dentist and dental laboratory. The goal of dental imaging is to display realistic cosmetic results, of their own smile, so that patients can confirm that a treatment plan is right for them. Dental Imaging can help patients decide on the extent of an accepted treatment plan too. i.e decide whether the treatment should involve 2, 4,6 or 8 teeth. It's a great educational tool.
A Smile Style Guide Helps Patients Decide on a New Smile Style
Patients can see various smile designs and styles, (masculine/feminine) and choose a shape of their new smile using the Smile Style Guide, and then have a photo of their own smile imaged in that chosen style. Patients play an active role in choosing their own new smile.
